Children’s Theatre of Charleston is excited to announce our poster design contest for our  production of Peter Pan Jr.!

Students from Elementary through High School are invited to enter the Children’s Theatre of Charleston’s, Peter Pan Jr. poster contest.  The winning poster may be used to advertise our upcoming production in October 2017.  Prizes will include a family four-pack of tickets, backstage tour and recognition on stage awarded to the top finalist in each category. All entries, including the winning entries, will be displayed at the Civic Center’s Little Theater during CTOC’s Peter Pan Jr. performances.  

Official Rules:

· Use 12″x 18″ OR 11″x 17″ heavy paper or poster board ONLY 

· Please use Portrait orientation ONLY

· Must be student’s original artwork. No signatures on posters

· No syndicated, copyrighted or clipart images on poster entries 

· No computer aided or copy machine poster entries 

· Please include entry information on the back right hand corner of the poster in pencil: Name, address, grade in school.

· Reproducibility factors into the judging, so use good lettering, high contrast and bright colors 

· Entries must be received by CTOC before September 7, 2017 deadline.

· CTOC reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the contest without prior notification 

· Those making submissions agree that the CTOC retains all copyrights of the materials submitted. By submitting to the contest, the designer agrees to grant CTOC the right to publish, reproduce, diffuse, and communicate to the public in any form and platform, including digital, all or part of the design. 

Judging:  Poster entries must be sent or delivered to the CTOC workshop located at 1120 Kanawha Blvd. E., Charleston. Entries must be delivered on or before the deadline date of September 7, 2017. Posters will be judged by a panel including CTOC Board members and local art professionals.  A finalist from each category will be selected.  The posters are judged on:

· Quality of design 

· Creativity and originality of the artwork 

· Appropriate theme using “positive” approach 

· Reproducibility
